White Memorial’s Spring Nature Camp
Grades 1-3: 9:30am – 12pm
Spring is here and we need to get outside and celebrate! Grab your hiking shoes and get ready for some good old-fashioned nature exploration. We’ll traverse the grounds of White Memorial, looking and listening for all the signs of the season, from new plants emerging, to turtles basking in the sun, to frogs croaking, to butterflies fluttering by. We’ll also play some fun outdoor games, make crafts, meet our education animals, and just enjoy each other’s company while adhering to COVID safety protocols.
These sessions will be held in-person, taking place outdoors or in our Activity Shed with barn doors open on two sides. Masks are required for everyone. NO snacks or drinks will be served, so please bring your own. Please make sure children are dressed appropriately for the weather and are wearing sturdy walking shoes that can get dirty. Parents are welcome to stay, but it is not necessary. Meet on the lawn between the Main Parking Area and the Nature Museum. Advanced registration is required. Space is limited to 10 children per day! If you enjoy viewing the night sky, exploring the outdoors, learning about nature, and meeting new friends, then join us for Nature Break-Out Night at White Memorial. In just 3 hours, we’ll pack in a Campfire, a Night Hike, a Live Animal Show, and a Craft-Making Session!
Kids will be divided into groups of 10 and rotated through stations throughout the evening. All activities will take place either outdoors or in our Activity Shed, with barn doors open on two sides. Masks are required for all participants. Social distancing will be enforced. Event will occur rain or shine. Drop-off program. Made possible by the Center’s Education and Activities Committee.
Cost: $30/child for members, $50/child for non-members
Fee covers all program materials and s’mores. Please inquire about financial aid if needed.
Registration begins on April 5 and must be received by April 25.
Limited to 30 children.

Virtual Nature’s Nursery Series
Ages 3-6 Years
4-4:30pm (note the time change from the previous series).
Join us via Zoom on one Thursday per month from May – August for a 30-minute program designed just for your young nature lovers. Every session will include a story featuring wild animals and then an up-close encounter with a live animal! Pre-registration and pre-payment are required.
