Ash trees are a common yard tree throughout Northwest Connecticut.  They are valued the shade they cast over our homes in the summer, for growing in variety of soil conditions, and survive our cold winters.  The Emerald Ash Borer is an invasive insect that specifically targets and kills ash trees.  Property owners are now discovering that the ash trees they cherish are declining and dying at an alarming rate throughout Northwest Connecticut.  This program will introduce participants to what options are available to private property owners, including the advantages of hiring a state licensed arborist and as well as other options.  2:00 p.m. on ZOOM simulcast on Facebook Live!
