DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, August 15\, 2026 \nThe John Stey Band is a mostly acoustic group based in Northwest Connecticut\, delivering a roots-driven sound that draws from a wide repertoire spanning the 1940s to the present. Blending elements of country\, bluegrass\, and rock and roll\, the band creates music that feels both timeless and fresh. Anchored by John Stey on lead vocals and rhythm guitar\, the group features Al Cattey on bass and Jimmy Katzin on violin\, with strong harmonies throughout. The lineup is often expanded by Tim Cole\, a highly accomplished multi-instrumentalist\, adding depth and energy to an already dynamic ensemble. Settle down at a picnic table in the Activity Shed for an evening of eclectic country\, bluegrass\, rockabilly and folk tunes. This is old country music at its very best!
