In March 2022, award-winning wildlife photographer David Gibbon co-ran the first ever commercial wildlife photography expedition to Ellesmere Island in the Canadian high arctic.
Ellesmere Island is one of the coldest, most inhospitable places on planet earth. David, along with co-leader Joshua Holko, 3 clients, and 4 Inuit’s, traveled across Ellesmere by snowmobile while living in extreme conditions to capture some of the stunning landscapes and wildlife there as temperatures dropped below -50 degrees.
In this talk, David reveals what it took to survive in one of the toughest places on earth and his experiences with the Inuits. He will showcase some of the beautiful images captured during the expedition.
