The Ron and Joan Jones Memorial Hikes: Loving Haight and The White Oak Trail

Step out for a visit to the White memorial Foundation’s newest trail! The White Oak Trail was created in and made its first appearance on our new trail map. Wander this lovely short trail to visit its namesake. Today’s hikes are both along the Bantam River. After the White Oak Trail we’ll head to the Haight Parcel for our annual exploration of truly one of the lovliest hikes on our property. Wind your way through the old vineyard to the shore of Bantam River. Look out for ghost pipes and barred owls, American Toads, and Shag Bark Hickory Trees. These hikes cover approximately 2.5 miles of lightly sloping and flat terrain. 10:00 am, Meet at the White Oak Trailhead, at the end of Wells Run, off of RT 118, Litchfield. Limited to 20 participants.
