Lake Trail Loop

The Lake Trail is a yellow-blazed, 1.2 mile loop from the Museum parking lot. The hike starts west of the Museum near the Carriage House and travels to an observation platform overlooking the north bay of Bantam Lake. This platform was built on old ice house conveyor pilings (which is also the start of the Ice House Ruins Trail). Then continue along a foot trail on an old railroad bed north to a field where the ice house once stood. From there you head east over Windmill Hill back toward the Museum.
