Ice House Ruins Trail

ice-house-trail-1

The Ice House Ruins Trail is located along a portion of the yellow-blazed Lake Trail and explores the site of a commercial ice harvesting operation active from 1908-1929. There is a self-guided interpretive brochure to accompany the stops along the trail, available here in PDF form, or at the Museum front desk (when it is open). You can also access the interpretive descriptions with your Smartphone via QR Codes on posts along the trail, or by visiting http://icehousetour.blogspot.com. Access the Ice House Ruins Trail by taking the 1-mile Lake Trail loop, which begins in the Main Area of the property (near the Museum).
